Dream

My dream for the  last three years is specifically to get to any college I want, and play lacrosse there. I have been working since elementary school to accomplish this, and I do something everyday to get to that. I cannot complain about a lack of opportunity because my parents are completely understanding and very supportive. They realize that this is what I want, and they are prepared to do anything to make sure I get there. I have to work at it everyday, and I want to at least get better at one thing each day. There are specific things that I need to get better, such as my shot or my left hand or certain fundamentals. Those are easy to take care of for me. One of the harder issues for me is gaining weight. That is the most important thing to me. That along with getting faster and stronger.

I think that it all started with my brother, Zack. He is college now, at Notre Dame University out in Indiana, and ironically enough he playing lacrosse. He worked every day in our own backyard at lacrosse and his body and health. He showed me what to do without showing me what to do. I studied what he did, and now I am mimicking it. He comes home  here and there, and tells me exactly what I have to do. But he is the one that made me realize that it is not fun to be average at something. Why not be the best? And ever since he has been telling me this, it has been all  I want. I want to start as a sophomore at Brien McMahon. I want to make states. I want to win states. I want to make any travel team. I want to be recruited. I want people to look at me and  be impressed. Be impressed at my performance and my effort. I want to dominate everything I do. I want to chose what college to go to, not have to go because that is the only option. And last but not least, I want to be better than my brother.

  1. I think that you have set your standards high and are capable of reaching that goal. In the classes I have with you I see that you strive for success in the classroom which is as important as working on your game if you want to get into D1 college for lacrosse. Many of my brothers friends and alumni from my soccer club go to school to play soccer. I didn't think I was capable of doing the same thing until now. I see my friend going to the Olympic Developmental Program and traveling all over the world for soccer. She also is trying out for the national team for her age. I am a little behind on the process because girls are usually recruited in sophmore year, but I am taking it more seriously. I think you will be able to be at that caliber of play. With hard work and dedication you will be able to do what you set your mind to. Good Luck!
